3. Purposes and legal bases of the processing of personal data
Purpose:
The data collected here, will be used to selected and contact the participancts and applications and keep you informed regarding information and outcome of the workshop.
Legal bases:
Participation in the survey is voluntary.
The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. a DSGVO

5. Origin and categories of personal data processed
The following personal data is collected and processed during the survey:
Name, E-Mail-address, affiliation, dietary restrictions and other voluntarily shared information
6. Transfer of personal data to a third country
Your personal data will not be transferred to a third country or an international organization.
7. Duration of storage of personal data
The data will be stored on a password-protected GFZ computer and deleted after the end of the workshop and finishing the workshop results.
8. Rights of data subjects
Every data subject has the right to:
a. Information in accordance with Art. 15 DSGVO,
b. Rectification pursuant to Art. 16 DSGVO,
c. Erasure in accordance with Art. 17 DSGVO,
d. Restriction of processing in accordane with Art. 18 DSGVO
e. Data portability pursuant to Art. 20 DSGVO sowie
f. Right of object pursuant to Art. 21 DSGVO.
The restrictions under §§ 34 and 35 BDSG apply to the right to information and the right to erasure.
In addition, there is a right of appeal to a data protection supervisory authority (Art.13 Abs. 2 lit. d i.V.m. Art. 14 Abs. 2 lit. D DSGVO, Art. 77 DSGVO i.V.m. § 19 BDSG).

9. Right to withdraw consent
You can withdraw revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time for the future. This does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocationwithdrawal.
10. Obligation to provide the data
There is no obligation to answer the questions.
11. Automated decision making
Automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 DSGVO is not used.
